At Home on St. Simons

Earlier today we arrived here on beautiful St. Simons Island, Georgia. Honestly, this is one of my favorite places on earth. I spent time here almost every summer of my life visiting my Aunt Elaine, Uncle Danny, and my dear cousin Danielle, who is more like a little sister than a cousin.

I fell in love with the island when I was a child, and determined at a young age that I would live here one day. And I did...during my first year as a rookie school teacher right out of college. God had plans to take me elsewhere after that, but I continued to visit almost every year. Eventually I returned as a new bride, and later as a new mother. There are such sweet memories here...
